There is no additional charge for sharing your Disney+ subscription with others. Disney+ subscriptions can be split between multiple households, which is great if you have a large family or group of friends. However, you should be aware of some restrictions.
How many Disney+ accounts can you have, how many profiles you can have, and whether or not you can get around this restriction are all topics we’ll cover in this article.
How Many People Can Watch Disney+ At Once?
Up to four devices can be used at the same time to watch Netflix vs. Disney+ on a single Disney+ subscription. Any computer, phone, tablet, smart TV, or gaming console can be considered a “device” for the purposes of watching Disney+. Streaming is possible on a variety of devices. It makes no difference where these devices are physically located, nor does it matter if they are all connected to the same network.
The device limit has been reached if you attempt to stream on a fifth device. Error code 75 will inform you of this. If you are tired of watching Disney+ all, you can instead read free manga on best sites.
How to Watch Disney+ on More Devices Simultaneously
You can get around this limit, but you’ll need a bit of foresight. Offline viewing of Disney+ content does not count against the four device limit because it is available for download. Download the same title as many times as you want. Downloads can be streamed as long as there is enough storage space, you are connected to the internet every 30 days, and you have an active subscription.
Can You See Who Is Watching Disney+?
Neither the devices being used nor an activity log is provided by Disney+. Because of this, you can’t simply evict someone if you need to free up space.
Logging out of all devices (Account > Log out of all devices > Log out) is the best course of action. In order to use Disney+ on any of your devices, you’ll first need to log back into your Disney+ account. See our guide on how to stop others from using your Disney+ account for more information.
This means that even if you have seven people on the same Disney+ account, only four of them can watch the same show at the same time.
How Many Profiles Can You Have on Disney+?
Disney+ offers more simultaneous streams than most of its competitors.
There are four on Netflix’s Premium plan; Basic and Standard subscribers get one or two each. Amazon Prime Video allows up to two simultaneous streams of the same content to be streamed from one account. It’s not just HBO that has a three-person limit.
Apple TV+ is unique in that it allows for up to six streams to be played at once.
The four-device limit shouldn’t be a problem for you unless you live in a large household where everyone watches Disney+ at the same time. In the event that this is the case, you can simply download the shows and movies to get around the limit.
It may be worthwhile to invest in multiple Disney+ accounts if that is not possible (perhaps due to storage limitations) or if you find it cumbersome (each account needs a unique email address.) If you decide to go that route, you can save money by signing up for a yearly subscription.
